If you think you might be pregnant but are not quite ready to take a pregnancy test, you might want to review potential pregnancy symptoms. Some women feel pregnant before they even miss their period. Beyond the period being late, here are a few additional symptoms:
- Breast tenderness. It can feel like your boobs are sore and bruised. It can be very painful.
- Morning sickness. Nausea can hit really early. It’s a good sign of a strong pregnancy because it means your hormone levels are surging which is a good thing
- Implantation bleeding. You might have light spotting for a day that happens when the fertilized egg is implanted. You might mistake it for your period at first but it generally includes just a small amount of spotting and nothing else.
- Fatigue. Early on in pregnancy, you can feel exhausted. This is generally over by the end of the first trimester but fatigue is often an early indication of pregnancy when accompanied by some of the other symptoms.
- Darkened nipple coloring
- Excessive trips to the bathroom. Frequently urinating is another sign of pregnancy
Once you’ve missed your period you can do a pregnancy test from the pharmacy or visit your doctor to test you. Many early pregnancy tests are also available that can sense the hcg pregnancy hormone a few days before you miss your period.

so, i’ve been on the pill for two months now, i tried for an IUD, but the doctor who tried to put it in said my cervix had scarring from my last pregnancy and delivery and he couldn’t get the IUD inserted. so we did condoms for a while, and i got sick of that so i desided to get on the pull cause Nuva ring didn’t work for me either.. only, now two months into this pill business, i am starting to feel sick to my stomach all the time, with mild cramping, and today i was arguing with my husband, regular stuff, nothing too serious, and i just started crying.. not sobbing or anything just upset and stuff.. so he thinks i am pregnant now! i’ve felt like this for a couple weeks, i had a period when i was supposed too a few weeks ago as well.. i couldn’t be! could i?? help!! its my bodys reaction to the pill, right?

I found the last pill prescription I was on to be really hard on me as well in terms of emotional roller coasters and pregnancy-like symptoms. I would do a pg test to put your mind at ease. (You can even buy a dollar store pregnancy test).
